The current version of pbuilder in karmic cannot build base tarballs
from Debian repositories like squeeze and sid because apt is no longer
"Essential". As a result, debootstrap doesn't install apt when trying to
build a base tarball for sid. Since pbuilder uses apt while crea

Actually, it is my mistake. I was thinking that you were taking the
package from intrepid and therefore lost the hardy changes, when in fact
you were taking the hardy-backports version and applying the patch. I
think since you did it this way you should use
'1.5.1dfsg1-1ubuntu2~hardy3' instead. I'l
If this is a regression from Jaunty, then this should be an SRU. If
it's new functionality that wasn't there before, a backport is fine.

If you have client with bacula-fd 3.0.x version then you can't connect
to bacula server on Ubuntu 8.04.3 LTS because of some incompatibility.
Those clients are eg. 10.04, OpenBSD and all others with newer bacula-
fd.
