use of quilt and only recently this was changed (therefore the version

Installs and works properly. I am using the 0.3.1 branch for quite some
time on Intrepid, no particular flaws.

Meanwhile ubuntu8 got published, which features an important security fix for
the whole 0.3 series.
It builds just fine and should be good for backport.
