After reading comments here tried to find a newer version and compile it. was lucky with the latest version using qt3. this is qps 1.9.21. Got it from http://kldp.net/frs/?group_id=592 no problem to compile on my eeepc 1000HE running jaunty unr. latest qt4 version compiles with no errors, but segfaults too.
