Public bug reported: Please backport gnupg2 2.0.19-1ubuntu1 (main) from raring to quantal.
Reason for the backport: ======================== Gnupg version 2.0.19 adds support for OpenPGP cards v 2.0 that can store and handle 4096 bits keys. The support where added in uppstream commit http://git.gnupg.org/cgi-bin/gitweb.cgi?p=gnupg.git;a=commit;h=fb44677c9f2cab6bac08d04d675554b38f64382a The package is uploaded to ppa:karl-h-thoren/backports I did not test all the Reverse-Depends as I hit the bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-dev-tools/+bug/1093008 Testing: ======== Mark off items in the checklist [X] as you test them, but please leave the checklist so that backporters can quickly evaluate the state of testing. You can test-build the backport in your PPA with backportpackage: $ backportpackage -u ppa:<lp username>/<ppa name> -s raring -d quantal gnupg2 * quantal: [X] Package builds without modification [X] gpgsm installs cleanly and runs [X] gnupg-agent installs cleanly and runs [X] gnupg2 installs cleanly and runs [X] scdaemon installs cleanly and runs Reverse dependencies: ===================== The following reverse-dependencies need to be tested against the new version of gnupg2. For reverse-build-dependencies (-Indep), please test that the package still builds against the new gnupg2. For reverse-dependencies, please test that the version of the package currently in the release still works with the new gnupg2 installed.
