Although, if there's a pressing need for x86 backports, I'd
conditionally backport it if there is work happening to fix the other
archs and there will be another request later to allow them to build as
well.

As the previous version built on arm* and powerpc, I'm reluctant to
backport until that's at least fixed in the devel release.

Builds are available in my ppa [1].
It doesn't build on arm but I think this is a bug in builders not in
code.
