Scott, the debdiffs in comment #25 (not the attached ones) apply against
the respective Hardy versions they are derived from. As of 3 hours ago
we've gotten new Firefox packages in Hardy, which I am *NOT* interested
in backporting right now due to widespread reports on the internet(s) of
CPU usage
I'll try it again.

xulrunner debdiff no longer applies. That'll have to be updated for the
current Hardy version before this can go forward.

I just noticed a strange home page feature. When I start firefox it
opens my home folder, but my home page it set to be netvibes. So, if I
click on Alt+Home, then I get to netvibes, but still, the opening page
is my home folder.
Anyone else having a similar issue?

Please backport firefox-3.0
I just noticed that the homepage problem is valid only if I start
firefox using the general keyboard shortcut for the browser set under
System-Preferences-Keyboard shortcuts.
If I start it from the Applications menu or the command line, it works
fine.

Starting firefox-3.0 /home/spinus/ doesn't give any problem! The check
box show hidden files works as expected and also the find tool works
fine...I think the problem reside in the configuration of keyboard
shortcut, can you post here the command that is invoked by the keyboard
shortcut?

It would seem like that would be a network related issue, but canceling
did trigger some sort of bug.
Did it work again after the next launch?
(I wouldn't consider this bug a blocker for introducing this beta into
Gutsy. I'm more concerned about any potential bugs involving breaking
the package
The PPA debs are working perfectly for me so far. Happy to get beta 4.
if I have problems I'll report them here. Otherwise, all is well. I am
happy to see that my beta 3 profile stayed properly.

You
This DID have a bug for me. After I installed Firefox 3.0 b4, I went to
run it. It tried to check for compatible options for the addons I had.
It froze when checking for Firefox (default). The little busy circle
animated icon thing kept rotating for about 2 mins, and it didn't seem
like anything
