reimaged system with Gutsy server; reinstalled all lustre deb packages
mkfs.lustre reports lustre module ldiskfs not installed and it indeed
appears nowhere in the file system.

Installed from ppa2 and mkfs.lustre is available but I have to attach an
additional drive to get space for lustrefs. More feedback when I have
more results.

To test on my local system, I used a pbuilder:

and follow this howto. The ppa has its own build system.

I can confirm it builds fine on Gutsy but I've no idea on how to use
this program, it seems to be a cluster related one. I uploaded it to my
ppa, John Novak could ypu please test it and give us some feedback ?
