I backported the package (0.10.3-6) using a pbuilder, and tested the following video formats: - ISO MPEG-4 (XviD, ffmpeg) - MPEG (libmpeg2) - Windows Media Video 7 - a file I encoded to h264 They all work great, I could not test the sound with h264 because I did not manage to encode it. -- Plea

This is a pretty high-risk backport as it's responsible for decoding so many video formats on the default Ubuntu stack. However, the combinations of bugfixes and new ffmpeg bundled stack means that it's not a suitable SRU candidate. (though the h.264 artifact bug is fixable through a SRU with ease)
