Jaunty is out now, and there's less incentive for a backport (we'd have
a hard time finding enough testers now, not even fixing the Xubuntu
bug). Feel free to reopen if you see the need for it (and can solve the
problem on Xubuntu + test all relevant arch).

I downloaded Xubuntu Intrepid i386 Live CD and ran it in a virtual
machine yesterday (kvm) and installed the backported flash plugin (I
didn't apply updates, and didn't install RealPlayer) in a Live session.
I can confirm Firefox crashes when I try to read any flash video on
Youtube.

Works with Firefox in a KDE desktop on Intrepid amd64.
As for the tests in Gnome, it fixes the bug with Intrepid's current
package where a lot of video don't show and you have to reload (F5) the
page many (sometimes 10 times or more) in order for the video frame to
show instead of a gray square).

I hadn't looked inside the package. That's just confusing to have the
package reflect one product version and the guts another.

Noel, the package config file says:

In theory yes, but in practice it's not much use because Triaged is a
restricted status that most people can't set. Change it back to New if you
prefer.

Wasn't that the purpose of TRIAGED (=to be set when you consider enough testing

I wonder if anyone would look at backports bugs marked Incomplete when testing

The Hardy backport was attempting to upgrade from flash 9 to 10 beta.
This Intrepid backport would be a transition from the 32-bit to 64-bit
alpha version of flash 10 for 64-bit systems. The benefit is that
nspluginwrapper is no longer needed, which would eliminate the related
bugs. While I think t
Last time we tried a flashplugin-nonfree backport it was a disaster.
This needs to be tested on amd64 and i386 by users of Ubuntu, Kubuntu,
and Xubuntu before I'll accept it.
