I still don't see the problem; Actually, loading a m3u playlist or moving some tracks to the playlist is the same for DAP. But that problem with the icon I talked about previously may be a difference consequence of the same bug you are seeing. I'll look into it. -- Backport Decibel Audio Player

Ok I just fixed it, it was indeed the same issue which different consequences depending on whether you were using the --playbin2 flag. I'll try to release v1.02 soon, in the meantime you can simply double- click on the first track instead of using the play button to start playing the playlist. --

Installation worked without any trouble. Everything works besides this little bug: 1. Load a playlist. 2. Quit Decibel without erasing this playlist. 3. Start Decibel and start the already loaded playlist from that session before What happens: Decibel will skip the first track in the list and
