It looks like this bug requests a backport from Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty
Jackalope). However, as Jaunty is no longer supported, such a backport
is no longer possible.

I think the changes have been made directly on the gcalctool program
but infortunately it wasn't possible to get the newest version of it in
hardy but only in lucid.
However, since i've upgraded to lucid (gcalctool 5.28.2) this problem is
solved for me.

I don't see in the changelog of lucid version where this bug is
corrected, are you sure backporting from Lucid would change anything ?
Backporting is only recompiling a version from another version of the
distrib.
