Rouben, Dapper's 0.9.3 having security vulnerabilities has nothing at
all to do with backporting 0.10.2. I've reopened bug #42564 in order to
get the vulnerabilities fixed.

I was able to install Feisty Trac packages on Dapper using --force-

YMMV.

According to the trac Changelog
(http://trac.edgewall.org/wiki/ChangeLog), the 0.9.x releases below
0.9.6 and 0.10.x releases below 0.10.1 are security fixes.
Dapper still has the 0.9.3 release of trac, which is vulnerable. The
Ubuntu security team won't handle this one directly

The attached diff file didn't work for me when trying to build 0.10.3 on
dapper. I noticed a few problems in the control file; should be trivial
dependency changes. If I scrounge up some time, I'll upload an updated
diff.

Same patch can be applied against trac 0.10.3. I'd advise using 0.10.3
as it fixes a couple of important bugs in 0.10.x

Tried to build the edgy backport on dapper. Couple of changes to the
control and and rules files to make the build work, but appears to work
correctly.
I have upgraded my own install to this new build and will report on any
stability issues. The diff file for the build is enclosed

I'd also love to see trac 0.10.x in backports. Such an important step up
from 0.9.x
