Recently I am using Ubuntu 9.10 and enjoying it good. when I open my bangla
text files in Open Office.writer, they are not converted into bangla fonts.
SCIM inputs are all okay as I can write Bangla well. Only old bangla files r
not opening. Plz help on what to do and how. Thanks.

Just install Bijoy fonts and that will solve your problem. You will be able

আপনি টার্মিনাল চালু করুন।
১। sudo nautilus কমান্ড দিন।
২। আপনার অ্যাকাউন্ট পাসওয়ার্ড দিন।
৩। লাল রং এর ব্রাউজার উইন্ডো আসবে।
৪। /usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-bengali-fonts এ যান
৫। বিজয়ের ফন্টগুলো কপি করে এনে এখানে পেষ্ট করুন।
৬। উইন্ডোটি বন্ধ করুন।
৭। sudo fc-cache -f কমান্ড দিন।
