Intel 965G (GMA X3000) - Video Tearing Effect Poor Performance
I have the same problem with the similar symptoms.
On Gutsy it worked perfectly. It was upgraded to Hardy beta.
30 sec delay on boot, it works only slowly and unstable, and no blue led light
at all.

Starting from CD, Ubuntu Hardy 8.04b is even worse. The video is not

I can confirm that. I've just upgraded from gutsy to hardy on my dell inspirion
1520. But I'm using kubuntu (it's guidance-power-manager in kde).
When I'm in kde, pressing Fn+up/down skips one brightness level. And I can see
2 popups showing brightness level (one under another).

After stopping hal and acpid (/etc/init.d/acpid stop; /etc/init.d/hal
stop) I can adjust brightness in console and kde with all levels, but
there is no popups in kde (guidance uses hal?). So it looks like that
there are two services that handling brightness changing

I don't think this has something todo with the network bridge. Tcpdump
shows the packets on vifx.0 in dom0. But the packets don't reach the
domU.
Using a 2.6.22-12-xen kernel for domU and the stock 2.6.24-12 for dom0
without changing the configuration, networking works out of the box.

With Dell Precision the able transfer rate on eth0 (Tigon3, 1GBit, tg3
