I don't have libgio-dev installed but still able to use the function

I've got this happening now with hardy after installing bamboo-1 on

every single problem that I had with my audio driver. The workaround

Hey all!
I've browsed through the NVIDIA Linux forums, namely this thread:
http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=114858
and have come to some reasonable conclusions based on what I found there.
1. Firefox uses XRender to display pages now
2. NVIDIA cards are slow with xrender:

The video would improve interest as the story behind the puzzles is lost
without it. The video doesn't have to be required, just available.

Here's an attached version of my Xorg.conf file with the driver shipped
with Ubuntu.
Of particular interest is lots of EDID failures. Please note that
these error messages do not appear with the latest Nvidia driver.
So what gives? How do we disable EDID in the Xorg or something?

I am also running into this bug. Ubuntu 8.04 with all updates as of Jun
25, 2008.
I inserted a 16MB CompactFlash memory card (filesystem type msdos) and I
am unable to rename the volume.
