flash-kernel works on most platforms by looking at a static place with
all the MTD partitions: /proc/mtd; on imx51 it writes to SD card instead
of MTD, and that currently means hardcoding /dev/mmcblk0 which is a bit
crude.

There is a patch in the upstream bug now that prefers LVDS outputs,
which should give a better experience for laptop users as their panel
will tend to stay on the laptop panel.
It's partly just a stopgap until you can select the primary output in the

workaround works well but it remove the protection over cups-pdf. Like

Exact same thing happened to me today. I had three instances of xfce4
-xfapplet-plugin visible in system monitor. Killing the two who used the
most CPU time did not affect any of the applets. CPU usage was near 100%
when they were running but dropped to normal after I killed the
processes.

Ok, i made it with bootchar=nonstop, so the result is in attachments.
The delay was beetwen 30 and 40s of booting, at this time screen blinks
and there is no disk activity, as you can see in graphics.

I have the same problem here.
Before on intrepid, I used the big desktop funcitonnality of the fglrx
driver... but on jaunty, big desktop does not want to be enabled
complaining about randr 1.2 being enabled. I've found no way to disable
it and make aticonfig happy so I did try enabling with

This is still a problem in the Kubuntu Jaunty beta even on i386. Note
this used to work in one of the earlier releases (Hardy? it was a
version that _didn't_ use Cairo for PDF export, no version using Cairo
has worked properly), and I routinely SSH my files to a machine running
an older Kubuntu
Is there a chance for removing the window decorators (title bar, etc.)
from the Logout-Restart-Shutdown dialog, as well as converting it into a
modal window? IMHO, this improves the consistent with previous logout
methods in previous Ubuntu releases.
