No, radeonhd does not need ati/radeon. But the default setup (which will
use radeon) needs the ati wrapper package to be installed. That's
probably why -test2 fails.
-test3 shows that radeon works fine. But if this is with radeonhd
installed, I would consider it a bug that radeonhd is not picked

XP, grub2 won't load.

to the desktop, I noticed that Apport had already picked up a bug

If you run a shutdown on your own session, you get a last chance to save
changes in session-aware apps, right? My concern is that the other
sessions won't get that chance. I don't know exactly what would happen,

Just for your information xterm have white background on my Jaunty
install (and on my vbox karmic as well).
On Jaunty I am using xterm version 241-1ubuntu1 and on Karmic I am using
version 243-1ubuntu1.

At this point, it seems pretty clear to me that no one is really working
on this for Jaunty; if you must use Januty, the only thing I can suggest
is to use a mainline kernel --- any mainline kernel, whether it is
2.6.28, 2.6.29, or 2.6.30 will work fine. The problem seems to be in

Installed lxde. Decided to remove it. Synaptic gives error message and

After suspending this laptop, the built-in keyboard and touchpad fail to
work at all, although external input devices (e.g. Bluetooth) function

My laptop locks up whenever I try to suspend or hibernate. This issue
has been happening after having upgraded from Jaunty as well as a fresh
install of Karmic. Suspend on Jaunty and other versions of Ubuntu have
worked fine most of the time.

Julien, thank you for your comment. But you misunderstood my request.
The stuff in the PPA is for demonstration purpose only. Furthermore,
there is no need for an FFe, the isdnutils package against which this
ticket is filed is already in Ubuntu and has been for years.
What this ticket is
I'm seeing something similar on an hp Pavillion DV5-1213, but it's not
necessarily the exact same bug. Do you have an external keyboard you
could connect after resume to be able to run:
apport-collect 377260
This will collect various hardware information which can be attached to
this bug.
