This is very annoying. I have modified cntlm proxy to work with basic
auth. And everything was working fine till this bug appeared. I do no su
ever. So exporting my variables with sudo worked okay. And when I tried
to do an apt-get it just failed to resolve the host names. I started

I can confirm what Andre reported. Songs with the special characters ö
and ä are stuck in the state Transferring to your Ubuntu One
storage, all other songs without such special characters worked well.
All of the songs seem to be downloaded to disk.

Nope, my PPA hack didn't work. This was using the same process that
fixed the problem in Lucid, that is, prevent plymouth from setting the
terminal to unbuffered input. Since the lucid fix had done most of it, I
disabled the remaining calls, but it didn't fix it. I suppose the
problem is different
