More tests showed me that this is not when switching tab that the problem
happens but when trying to use the History menu commands.
I tried launching FX in safe mode, no tabs open except the main one with Google
search page, and as I click on the history menu, FX starts to use 100% CPU for

shell updates. Supposedly upstream will work on the startup failure in

I've had the same issue as LiKwiiD.
I installed the psmouse-alps-dkms and couldn't get it to work.
sudo rmmod psmouse and sudo modprobe psmouse hung the system. On reboot the
mouse wasn't detected.
After purging the package, but the touchpad is still not usable, it's not
appearing at all in
PPA fails to work on 11.04 64bit

In GNOME shell, pressing ALT-F2 doesn't do anything. It used to popup a
run dialog, and I'm pretty sur it is supposed to still do that, but
doesn't.
