This definitely is a serious issue. I spent 6-8 hours trial and error
getting a new PC with EFI bios to single-boot Ubuntu 13.10 (still don't
know exactly which of my numerous changes in boot-repair that made the
difference). So, after updating to 14.04 this morning, boot hell was
back with error:

I have this issue with my hardware. The sound-card has a mic volume and a mic
boost control.
Strictly spoken, Mixxx is the wrong place to solve it without loosing bit
depth.
But since opening the alsa mixer to set the boost control is very unhandy in

With cups 1.5.3-0ubuntu8 from precise, when I configure cups-client to
use a TCP connection, print a LibreOffice document, and wait 5 minutes,
printing is no longer possible after cupsd drops the idle connection.
With cups 1.5.3-0ubuntu8.1 from precise-proposed and the same cups-
client
Now, it's working again for me! Could be because I installed the latest
Ubuntu updates today, or because I am in a different wireless network
now... I have to try it again tomorrow in the other network.

Mouse scrolling is slow and jerky after suspend/resume in documents

Installer will hang due to mod_mono and mod_mono_auto - so you have to
kill all instances of Apache when installing libapache2-mo-mono (see
screenshot attached)
Then edit MonoPath link in /etc/mono-server4/mono-server4-hosts.conf and
change to the following
MonoPath default
I might add that u'xab' appears to be character « according to
http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_8859-1 (and my test with python2.7).
