Hm, I just noticed ppa:unity-team/staging has the 0.4 series of unity-
lens-applications. My fix is in the 0.5 series which is going to be in
Ubuntu 12.04 (precise), but apparently not being backported to 11.10
(oneiric).

I'm NOT suggesting to drop ubuntu changes 1.38.0-6ubuntu1 and
1.38.0-6ubuntu2, but rather suggesting to patch 1.38.0-7 with the
corresponding diffs as they don't seem to interfere (judging from the
changelogs, see below) . One of the benefits: 1.38.0-7 would at least
partly
