When I launch the player from the menu (using the play button this time), I
cache a play action and wait for the player to launch. All good so far but when
the player launches and it erects its mpris interface I have tried to then send
that cached play event but it ignores it/ doesn't respond
Solution: Use a whitelist with just banshee in it and while the player
is starting up pulsate the triangle in the middle of the playbutton,
similar as to how applications icons fade in and out on the launcher
when it starts up.

Its basically unresponsive to play commands even though the mpris

I managed to debug this by running this from within the dbusmenu branch
above.
killall unity-panel-service ; LD_PRELOAD=libdbusmenu-gtk/.libs
/libdbusmenu-gtk.so /usr/lib/unity/unity-panel-service
I then checked the Layout within dfeet and it returned this relevant info about
the playlist

I have investigated this thoroughly and It turns out that this is not as
easy as first anticipated. The indicator steals the grab from the gnome
settings daemon. So by even trying to grab the media keys from its dbus
api it doesn't make a difference because the key event never gets to the
daemon.
My attempts are recorded in the attached branch if anybody would like a
good :)

I reckon this bug is fixed with this merge
https://code.launchpad.net/~cjcurran/indicator-sound/pulse-proper-error-handling/.
I was not handling properly the edge case of a pulse callback having a
negative eol and null pointer.
Should be fixed in release 0.6.2 (available from Thursday)
