Hello,
I also noticed the same bug.
I had the empathy default jaunty version and it happened, now I have the ppa

I tried with and without compiz and I saw that the window hasn't got the same

Hello,
I think it's a problem with the jabber.org server.
Here is what I did when I reported this bug :
I used two jabber.org accounts on two computers on my LAN.
When I tried to block a contact I was seeing him disconnected, but he could see
me connected.
Today I tried with the same computers,

I use Pidgin 2.4.1, I have this bug too.
Thank you for showing me the status.xml file path (I was seeking a .pindgin
folder rather than a .purple).
Will it be corrected in the next release (i.e. the statuses added by typing on
the keyboard will be manageable the same way Saved statuses are) ?
I confirm this bug,
I use Ubuntu 8.04 32bits with pidgin 2.4.1, and the Invisible status doesn't
seem to work on XMPP/jabber accounts (and also on google talk accounts, which
use XMPP protocol).
It works on my hotmail and yahoo accounts.
Perhaps an implementation problem ?

Thank you for this fast answer.
After I read your advices, I created a new keyring for evolution using

Another (silly) question : why isn't the default keyring unlocked after

I think these will be my last questions :
- now that I'm using a keyring which hasn't got a password, is it less secured
than the way my email passwords were stocked before the update ?
- will the fact that there are users using automatic connection be taken in
