XPS 9530 laptop. I've disabled in the BIOS Smart Connect to see if this
happens again.

Looks like I come from bug #1184262, and I'm experiencing the same
problem :-) pm-suspend works always, quickly and the network is
available without problems, however if I suspend the laptop with the lid
or Unity menu, network never comes back. I'll try to send you a log, so

I've installed Martin's package, and after a reboot, if I suspend the
laptop the result is exactly the same: no wifi at all.
However, the if I run pm-suspend with a fresh restart it works like a
charm (even without Martin's package), so obviously there is something

Yes, the easiest way to solve the problem for now is to run:
sudo /etc/init.d/vboxdrv stop
Before you suspend. Another option is what people have described in the
messages about black-listing VBox modules when suspending the machine.

I have removed the following modules: vboxpci, vboxnetadp, vboxnetflt
and vboxdrv and then click Suspend. This time suspend and resume worked
perfectly well, so I guess that the problem is related to this modules.

I have tested it today with the last podsleuth version. It detects the
iPod but it doesn't recognize the iPod DB. I've upgraded the firmware of
my iPod to 1.1.3 with the same results. When plugged, Banshee says that
the DB has to be rebuilt, and after doing that with the firmware 1.0.2
the iPod
I can confirm this bug in another Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy. The leds never are
powered off, while in Windows computers it does. It would be very
helpful for users to get the LED powered off, after ejecting the memory.

Hi I have problems some times with some PDF files. In this case I have a
file that can be uploaded, so it is possible to debug it.

Hi, I have discovered that the last version of totem-gstreamer on hardy
does the same but with a nvidia card. I have tried totem-xine and
everything works perfectly well. However, if you are using totem-
gstreamer and in gstreamer-settings you have chosen xv, totem shows

I have the same problem, but using vim-addons install latex-suite now
works. The only problem I had before this patch is that xdvi is not
working, but I have changed it to evince, and now everything looks

I'm in edgy without backports and I have the same problem. After
modifying the line as you said I can import the photos, but Ubuntu
stills not auto-detect-import my camera photos as with Dapper. I don't

I don't know if this bug fits in this thread or not. The problem I have
is that my Sony Vaio SZ2MB has two video cards. One 945GM intel and one
nvidia card.
With the nvidia card I have all the 3d acceleration working but with the
945GM I don't. The problem is that I don't why this is not

scripts of hal to bash and it was working. After the last upgrade the
brightness is not working again. I have tried with bash/dash and it's
