P.S. Workaround: add echo before sleep in these files:
/var/lib/dpkg/info/libc6:amd64.postinst;
/var/lib/dpkg/info/libpam0g:amd64.postinst.
After that I successfully update to 20.04 LTS.

Network Manager can't seem to deal with having two ethernet ports, with
eth0 not managed by it and eth1 managed as pppoe. So I tried to disable
Network Manager by via the conf file shown below. But it constantly
shows Wired Network Disconnected messages to me, and ifconfig

When I shutdown the Ubuntu loading screen shows up with ubuntu above ~5
dots. Hangs after that and stays hanging until forced offline by
holding the power button.
