- Basically, the microphone and sound device seem ok. I can hear my voice
from mic. But the 'Sound Recorder' immediately hangs as soon as I press the
Record button. So I have to force quit it.

The skype can be worked properly now.
1. backup your existing /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base
2. append the following to the end of the file:
options snd-hda-intel model=ref
3. reload your modules or reboot.
4. Audio system set to OSS in the skype

- I can properly lock the screen and reopen
OK, got it.
The default display driver is not adapt to the video card, despite it already
exist under the directory /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/.
So the configure file at /etc/X11/xorg.conf should be manually modify to the
right driver name. Then refresh rate is OK, reboot is OK.

Yes, Live CD has the same problem from the 1. start or install... item
in the start menu. but it seems right from 2. .. graphical safe mode
item.
After intallation from the item2 menu, the startup is ok.
but the refresh rate became into 0 Hz. So picture is ok, but movie is bad.
