I'm maintaining the libqmi Debian package. What do you mean by
multiarching the utils package? Any pointers to how that would be done?
I have both i386 and amd64 versions installable, but yes, they are
conflicting.
Btw, I'm working on upgrading package to 1.6/1.8 version of libqmi
upstream.
Trying to package 1.8.0, I notice that the new qmi-proxy is placed in
multiarch location: /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/qmi-proxy, but the old:
/usr/bin/qmicli.
Current WIP is available at git.debian.org/git/pkg-libqmi/pkg-

At least some of these look like warnings that the current compiler
treats as errors. They probably should be fixed upstream. I found this
mailinglist post without answers that might describe the problem:
