Lucid: gq will not accept an LDAP password.
When you enter a password it redisplays the password window so you can enter
the password again.
(I am quite certain I am entering the correct password -- it works with
ldapmodify and evolution.)

A user must be a member of the lpadmin group to modify printer settings in
system-config-printer.
A member of the admin group cannot modify these settings.
I am a member of admin but not lpadmin.

Wow! For all the years I have been working with Linux I have never seen
anything happen so fast. I am impressed and gratified, which will encourage
me to report more bugs/suggestions/issues to you (all). I posted a note about
