arch parameter is not passed by the image proxy during image install from store
and everyone is happy.
FWIW the Ubuntu server guide is available from a bzr repository. Anyone can
create a branch, update the documentation and submit a merge proposal [1].

Intrepid/Jaunty, upgraded to Karmic then Lucid.
Systems installed in Karmic and systems upgrading from Hardy shouldn't
be affected.
