upgraded due to dependency errors and will remain unconfigured.

Here's a thought: I don't know anyone running Ubuntu servers who's using
the stock PHP because it's usually too old. People either use Ondrejs
PPAs, compile themselves or use some other vendor (i.e. Plesk provided
packages).
PHP 5.6 support ends August 2017. That's 9 months of backporting
We already figured out how this was introduced and how to fix it. We
just need someone to actually create the fix.
The ibus package changed the default setting of desktop.ibus.general
.use-system-keyboard-layout from true to false. Ever since this dconf
setting was introduced, we had this error.
I confirmed with @hoellp that the packages in proposed are not working.
They are not reverting the dconf setting for newly created users.

to be a problem with Unity. I'm on 13.10 with the latest Orcacle Java
and the latest Minecraft build. Running it through compiz (i.e. Unity)

the affected nvidia chipset on the motherboard. I upgraded the computer

Some developers on IRC told me this is expected behavior. Sticks with
persistence are not supposed to be used for installs. I stopped using
them alltogether because of this bug.

That is because the bug is not only caused by the plugin load-order.
Changing the load-order is a workaround that sometimes works. The
problem is still in the unity-plugin.

Changing the order doesn't solve the bug. It just is a workaround (that
for me doesn't work *all* the time). The bug is in the unity plugin
overwriting the edge actions (deducing this from the bug not appearing
when unity is not loaded and appearing only sometimes when unity is
loaded before other
Are we sure this doesn't affect unity? The way I see it this is caused
by the unity plugin and is actually not a compiz bug.

I think it is safe to assume that the person this bug is assigned to
won't fix it as he doesn't work on compiz any more. Compiz itself is a
dead project. The only work on it are hacks to bend it to the will of
Unity. What I'm saying: any non-developer investigating this bug is most
probably
