I think I know what is causing it. Whenever I switch desktops using ctrl+alt+(left || right), it begins to lag, and xorg uses 100% CPU, even if I unfold the cube using ctrl+alt+down. Otherwise I get a perfectly normal framerate. -- xorg uses large ammounts of CPU, and framerate becomes choppy

I will see if I can narrow it down to a specific plugin when I get home. When I was using feisty and Treviño’s eyecandy repository, I did not have this issue. If I remember correctly it grabs the latest version from GIT and builds a package. I upgraded about two days before the release. -- xorg

This may be a little late, but I have the same exact model laptop, and I get the same exact bug. I have tried everything from fixing the screen refresh rate to reconfiguring xserver. Nothing worked. I'm just confirming the bug. I will post up what I get when I follow the instructions here. --
