This Bug is a very entertaining read: thank you Chauncellor for detailed

Thank you, Daniel van Vugt, for keeping cool at all times.

I see very similar issue, but with Core i7 Sandy Bridge, Intel HD
Graphics 3000 built in, which makes me think - this is nothing to do
with NVidia, but rather with Compiz. The desktop effects like moving

I've tested it - it works fine. The problem with IMAP folder switching
went away. Please release the bugfix as an official Ubuntu update...

The fix suggested by Stephan Hilb worked on my system.
After I've added options snd-hda-intel position_fix=2 bdl_pos_adj=-1

Same problem here. I've got Intel HD graphics 3000 (integrated in my
Core i7 2600K CPU) and I've got exactly the same problem: when any wine
application starts up, my mouse movement freezes even. I have a desktop
computer with 2 external monitors: one is 1280x1024 and another one is
1920x 1200.
Same problem here. Installed the apport and apport-gtk from that URL -
it worked.

Same issue as Tony Themelis has: just booted with iPhone plugged in, got
the crash right after I fired up Thunderbird email client. Also I was
eating a grapefruit in front of Ubuntu - could it have chocked with
saliva? Don't know who is the producer of that grapefruit - I no longer
have it.
