I have this problem as well but my colleague does not.
I use Intel fake-raid and he uses pure Linux soft-raid.
I don't know why he doesn't have the problem - looking at the scripts in rc6
everyone using raid >1 should be experiencing this bug regardless of fake vs
soft.
I think a work-around is
I am not able to install Ubuntu 11.10 x64 due to this bug.
The install option fails and spams the udevd timeout killing modprobe blah.
I tried disabling modeset and removing the quiet splash.
It appears to be an infinite loop.
