I can confirm this, hope this is fixed soon, i expected this package is
generated together with the kernel, the kernel should not be released
without the backports modules being rebuild for new kernel.

Yes definitly a bug - just discovered it by accident ...
The idea to use udev for this is quite nice, but has a design flaw. by
definition this is doomed to failure IMHO. At the time of add sd?
execute something which needs filesystem access on possibly the same
drive (right before mount) - not

The udev rule fires at every startup. Those lirc is started and then
restarting itself right away. This together with

Still a problem. In that file many remotes share the same keys and those
one remote is overwriting the other or can not be overwritten. There
needs to be a seperate file for those.

is causing a race condition. In the init script the drivers are loaded, which
cause the udev rule to be executed which in turn restart the lirc. This leads
to unreliable startup for lirc_serial or
