FWIW, this also happens using the GNOME3 PPA with an nVidia GeForce GTS
240 using the nouveau drivers. Clicking on a category displays the same
icon correctly. Just the list of all applications has the weird
colorless distorted icons.

FWIW I attached a patch to to bug #446552 that rewrites url_downloadable
use urllib2 which may (should I think) fix this bug as well. It was

dependency comes down to the GstHalAudioSink and GstHalAudioSrc

Using the pulse output and specifying two files on the command line does

I've attached a debdiff that updates the Python portions of
debian/control so dia-libs and the like depend on the current Python
version.
The debdiff also contains some changes to the docbook XML so the build
would not die on xmlto validation errors. I'm not sure if I should file

proposed in LP #329172 rather than URL encoding just : it here. The

What module is used for wireless when you boot into the vanilla kernel?
I don't think the unavailability of snd-rtctimer should prevent
Rosegarden from playing sound. At least it does not here. However see

For FFADO 2.0 the focus is not on porting to the new firewire stack, but
rather relying on

I updated the libraw1394 package to 2.0.1, see LP: #311804 (I blame
Launchpad for the triplicate post in that bug). Using the libffado2
packages from the ubuntustudio-dev PPA I can start the ffado-dbus-server
and connect the ffado-mixer to my device successfully. I can rebuild the
0.116.1 Jack
After rebuilding and installing the package without the kdebase-bin
dependency, I can confirm that it runs without complications. At least
for my initial messing with it. When you first run rosegarden, it
informs you of any missing optional dependencies, kdialog, LilyPond, and
so on.

I created and related to this bug a Launchpad branch with the above
mentioned simple patch. Upstream has talked about a larger plugin
management change that will make this bug no longer applicable though.
