Previously adsys
ok fine i maybe missunderstaned something here. I trought firefox was
causing instalation to broke or fail and thats why i recomended to
remove temporarely firefox and reinstalled it back after OS upgrade.
Ubuntu-desktop dont depend on firefox and i can remove i freely withoutt
any issues or OS
you must remove both deb packages and snaps otherwise it will cause
issues
before upgrade do this :
sudo apt purge firefox firefox-*
sudo snap remove firefox
upgrade to 24.04
after upgrade add this mozilla respository

dependency on nfs-common: opted for a "Depends" here because
adsys could apply a nfs mount policy which would fail hard if nfs-common were
not installed -- I would've gone for "Recommends" in case of a soft warning

I've successfully performed validation on mantic with adsys and dependencies
from proposed, with a Windows Server 2019 AD Controller. I've tested the
specific cases for the following bugs and confirm the fixes:

on nvidia-kernel-common-470 (>= 470.63.01) but that version is not
published, the latest one available today is
470.57.02-0ubuntu0.20.04.1
That means that installing latest hwe kernel for 20.04 breaks

Following your steps:
Hirsute is installed on L460 , the kernel is replaced with Focal's
kernel (5.8.0-63-generic)
(1) is passed.
The initial kernel of Hirsute is 5.11.0-16-generic, the issue
reproduces;
Upgrade kernel to 5.11.0-31-generic, the issue reproduces.
