An update: testing some more, I can confirm that there were improvements on
volume, now it is definetely louder: if it weren't the buzzing effect on the
sound, I could say it was fixed. On the other hand, the louder it gets the more

The model in question is the Notebook 7 Force NP760XBE(Style S51 Pro on
some countries) running 19.10. In my case, the speakers work fine,

It seems that libc6 cannot upgrade because of 3 reasons:
- an old version of libc-bin (2.13-20ubuntu5.3) is required but is no longer in
the repos.
- a newer version of the linux kernel (2.6.24 or later) is
Reproducible in 12.10 Quantal release and Openbox on the stock repo.
Doesn't affect Gnome, Gnome Classic, Unity.
