It crashes with every file I tried so far, for example with
monday_1400_Debian.ogg. The files all play fine vlc.

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.20-8-generic
After upgrading vom pre-2.6.20 Kernel the Headphone mixer is removed.
Sound still works but only with internal speaker. The sound from the
speaker gets muted after plugging, but i can't hear anything from the
headphones.
network to be much help here, but if
you're using ethernet not wireless, go into Networking, selected Wired
Connection, then Properties, then Automatic Configuration, then for
Configuration pick Automatic Configuration (DHCP) not Static IP
Address.
I hope that helped a little.

. It is a known issue with the Gnome
accessibility framework, it is being worked on, but as far as I can see
it hasn't yet been fixed. See the following bug:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=163132
Hope that helps.

Thank you for your bug. That looks like a memory corruption bug, could
you get a valgrind log (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Valgrind) for it?
Mmh - I've tried now for two hours to reproduce this bug and generate a
valgrind log, but i guess,
