[HP Pavilion 15] Intermittent black screens

from https://github.com/M-Bab/linux-kernel-amdgpu-binaries. Those
binaries are the only solution that I've found to fixing the problem of
the display going to a blank screen and won't "wake up". But when I try

I have the same problem with my brand new Pavilion 17 (product: HP
Pavilion Notebook (N9E13UA#ABA)) with the AMD A10-8700P Radeon R6, 10
Compute Cores 4C+6G, and graphics VGA compatible controller: Advanced
Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Carrizo (rev c5). I tried the graphics
PPA's but "no joy".

I had my certs and keys in my encrypted /home. For some reason, the
system can't see the certs and keys at boot time. Moving all those files
to /etc/openvpn solved my problem.

I'm having this problem with an ethernet connection configured with
openvpn on Ubuntu 16.04.01 LTS. When booting or rebooting, the network
won't come up at all. But, if I select "Disconnect VPN" with network-
manager the network comes up automatically. After the network comes

So far, this only happens on my Dell Inspiron 14R running Ubuntu 12.10.
When I launch Firefox, the side application launcher disappears
(autohide isn't used). Even after minimizing Firefox, the side
application launcher is still missing but there is a thin bar across the
top of the workspace and
I've had this problem on 2 laptops so far. Dell Inspiron 14R and Dell
XPS15. The alsamixergui seems to have fixed the Inspiron but I've had no
luck with the XPS.
