Thinking about it, the reason I noticed the pop-up was there before the
system hibernated was because I was clicking back and forth on different
windows anyway at the time, meaning the power warning may have popped up
just as I clicked another window, hiding it without me noticing.

Strangely this is related to bug#536699. Changing, in the BIOS, the
graphics aperture size from 128MB to 256MB as suggested in that bug's
comments solves both that issue and this.

I have just experienced this bug.
MSN had been working fine for weeks, then suddenly today (a few days
after changing my account information - wasn't sure whether that was
connected or not) I get the Network error message.

On Maverick the same error occurs.
