i tried to pair my mobile and my 901, it works, i just installed the
gnome-bluetooth utils to get the bluetooth appelt and configuration.
about the network i didn t have any problem, i m using wifi 90% of the time.
i have installed the 8.04.1 + array kernel-eeepc, maybe it make the difference.

I've also an Eee PC 901 running Ubuntu 8.04 with array.org's kernel.
Bluetooth is not working and I've some issues with the wireless. Network
Manager sometime fails to connect and I've to retry several times to get my
connection. And yes, the Ubuntu Netbook Remix looks very promising :D
