so instalar não funcionou, digitei "komodo" no shell e disse que o comando
não existia.
seguindo esses passos funcionou perfeitamente:
> ./install.sh -I /usr/local/komodo-4.3.2

Ontem, depois de ler teu email fiz a instalação e não fiz nada do PATH [
apesar de ter visto no install.html ] e saiu funcionando..

Existe um arquivo chamado install.html que contém todas as instruções de
instalação mas basicamente, basta rodar o seguinte:
./install.sh -I /usr/local/komodo-4.3.2
Teste aí e em caso de dúvidas, volte a escrever..

quando executo ./install.sh
ele pede uma pasta, coloca ele gera uma série de arquivos mais nenhum que
execute a IDE...
