[Ubuntu-BR] Ubuntu 7.10 alternate desktop CD - Sem bootsplash?

Caros, Instalei hoje o Ubuntu 7.10 em meu notebook Dell Latitude 110L. Utilizei o CD alternativo para fazer a instalação em LVM. A instalação foi normal mas quando reiniciei o computador o bootsplash não apareceu, mostrou o carregamento do kernel, init, etc. Alguém sabe me dizer se a versão alter
