The upgrade from 6/15 didn't fix it for me. I am not sure if the
appropiate fixes were included in this upgrade. I also restarted the
machine and still see the "tml>" icon that points to my windows
partition.
Is there a way to rebuilt the database that HAL uses, perhaps that is

I'm not sure which howto you followed, but if you install our packages
without ever touching the upstream installer, this can't happen. I
suspect you installed the upstream drivers at some point and have their
libGL.so installed, not ours.

After updating from Breezy to Dapper, autologin was OK. However, after
an update last week or so, GDM automatically chooses my user but asks
for the password on startup. The dialog asking the password is just a
simple window, and I can login after inserting the password.

1. Did you install python2.4-dev? Because of bug #44704, you have to.
2. Did you do "sudo chmod +x

I upgraded from Breezy to Dapper, and OOo Presentation crashes when making a
presentation using drag&drop of images from Nautilus.
It is extremely frustrating, because it becomes an endless loop of

Ante Karamatic, no, wrong assumption. I tried HP printer to see if it
worked. It did not. Which leads me to believe that there are serious
issues printing with dapper. That which I indicated above failed to
print on z52. Never thought to again try HP. Doubt that HP would work

Using the updated version, the problem is still there. The medium is
still displayed wrong: 11,61cmX11,61cm instead of 12cmX12cm
The print isn't actually shrunk, the printing size is specified wrong
and because of THAT the image is shrunk to the medium. If this is set
to/can be edited to a bigger
in my case the recorder is in /dev/sg1 with correct permisions, but
there is /dev/sg0 wich belongs to root group and every time I try to
record a cd, cdrecord tries to open this device. If I delete it o change
the privileges, the burn goes succsesful, but at every restart it
returns again with wron
Note also that rtc is compiled into the 686 kernel, not as a module like
for the 386 kernel. So changing to the 686 kernel might help as well.

try adding 'deb http://www.grad.hr/~ivoks/ubuntu/gutenprint ./' to
/etc/apt/sources.list, apt-get update ; apt-get upgrade. This will

Whenever Katapult is activated (ALT + Space), and amarok is running,
Katapult will not respond for up to 30 seconds after characters are
typed in. I'm guessing that this has to do something with the fact that
Katapult searches amarok's music data

a) sudo dpkg --purge hplip-base
=> The system told me there was nothing to remove for hplip-base
wasn't installed.
b) sudo apt-get --reinstall install hplip
=> no problem; operation ran smoothly
