Ok, I'm further along in my persuit with Ubuntu on my SunBlade 100.
After booting with `boot net -p` and having it spew dozens of lines of
info that would be nearly impossible to transcribe accurately, I decided
to see if it would be possible to set up a serial connection and get to

Thanks for your bug. What version of the gaim package do you use? The
edgy one doesn't match panel color at the moment. What sort of
background do you use? An image? A transparent one? Does it happen with
rhythmbox too by example? What architecture do you use?

It's hard to take a screenshot of it as the only visual indication is
the cursor in gnome-terminal (in other apps it will just appear as
missing cursor)
It's not gnome-terminal specific
