We specifically restrict access permissions to reports to the user of
the crashed process to prevent informtation disclosure. With the current
bare-bones apport frontend this is not going to change, I'm afraid.
It might become better once we have a proper bug reporting tool.

This happens only when you go through keyboard detection. I answer its
questions with 'n', 'w', 'z', and then answer No for the rest of them.
I will attach logs of running `ps faux` and strace on various processes.
It looks like `dpkg-preconfigure --apt` is hanging.

Several minutes? Ugh, that sucks... which application crashed at that
time, and what kind of machine do you have?
Does
sudo renice 19 `pidof apport`
help to make the machine usable again?
