installed it again and the problem doesn't appear to be present anymore.
The ruleset that I had used was deleted after about a month of no

Sorry, I first thought I reproduce the bug, because by default the
cosole is in ascii mode. All indicate that it is now on edgy, corrected
as in debian. That is, if you use loadkeys -u, or if the console is in
UTF-8, by using sudo unicode_start, or kbd_mode -u, then you don't see

I've got the context information sidebar selected, usually folded (just
click on the resize bar), and hardlly ever change it.
I will try using nautilus for a while after loading it with that
command. Right now the only line in my .xsession-er
Yes you should be able to dist-upgrade if you change the apt source YRL to
point ot edgy.
The amount of download will probably be large though.

Same for me here.
I've had a working shorewall with iptables 1.3.3.
Also the command "iptables -p icmp -h" which should list the types of icmp
packets failes. Therefore I think this is an iptables problem not related to
shorewall at all.

Before the change, I could sleep with the "whitelisted module"
workaround", but now, my computer doesn't go to sleep fully (I have a
thinkpad, and I get a moon and a battery led illuminated, and the fan is
still on).
Any ideas?
