It certainly seems to be related to the wireless switch
I have been booting daily with wireless switch on two weeks and the problem has
not occured. Today I booted with the Wireless switched off and had ¨soft
lockup on CPU0¨. Rebooted, still with Wireless of and the boot was ok. I notice
that
Same problem here with a Radeon 9600 on a PentiumM laptop. Blinking
cursor with usplash, and about 3 minutes to start. Without graphical
boot, editing grub, about 40 seconds to boot.

Perl backend script always adds hostname to the localhost. I have
changed this script now to just use localhost and actually remove
hostname as alias from localhost entry (this will fix it for users that
will upgrade on first use of knetworkconf).
See attached debdiff.

I have the same problem with the edgy RC on an ASUS L5800DF.
gparted shows the harddrive as unallocated space, as does the installer.
Is there any information about my system I can supply to help solve this
bug?

The most specific that I can be is that neither hald, gdm nor x11-common
scripts seem to be started. I have to start them manually out of /etc/init.d in
order to e.g. get gdm started.
If you want more specific problem description ASK what you want to know - I'm
not that familiar with that stuff
Here is an example pdf (an svg from openclipart.org exported as pdf with
inkscape). Notice that, when opening in evince under edgy, the borders
are awfully aliased.
