1. On a FireFox of same version without extensions both links I reported
earlier opened fine (test machine).
2. On my main machine, I disabled all of my extensions, restarted
FireFox, and FF still crashes when visiting my trouble sites.

For what it's worth, despite claims I've heard to the contrary, this is
not something that has been intentionally disabled versus upstream by
the Debian/Ubuntu packaging, it's not a configure option, and it's not a
trivial one-line change. At minimum, I'd want to disable password

Thank you for your bug. According to your crash file you have libwnck-
common 2.16.1-0ubuntu1.1 installed. That's a non-official broken
package and we keep getting duplicates for it. If you use some non-
official package you should send bugs to people shipping those package
and not Ubuntu.
My 6.10 installation (with last updates) also shows this problem.
