A month ago simple-backup stopped working for me.
Now, nothing happens on schedule. If I initiate a manual backup, the process is
launched but becomes defunct after a few seconds; no backup.
If I run

Cyberlion, I don't think you are talking about the same problem as the
original reporter. This bug is about poor performance and applications
crashing. You have the problem that the X server is crashing - try
disabling DRI in xorg.conf.

Update manager has repositories for Breezy
I can confirm this bug is still not fixed in Edgy Eft. I use firestarter
version 1.0.3 and I have created a script in
/etc/NetworkManager/dispatcher.d that will launch firestarter upon NM
finding a network connection.
What disturbs me is that nobody seems to care about this problem, or at
least I
IMPORTANT NOTE
Manual running of the firestarter initscript works fine with Edgy Eft and
Network Manager. The initscript does not fail like mentioned in the bug
description, with Edgy Eft at least this doesn't happen. It just won't start at
boot.

Replicated it again. I excluded all X updates from the 90 listed
updates and installed the rest of them. The system functioned until I

same here on an Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 2.66GHz
I've worked around this by installing the Debian Xen kernel package on
the Dom0 and DomU machines: linux-image-2.6.18-3-xen-686. It pulls in
the Debian Xen tools too, but doesn't clobber anything Ubuntu specific.

No, I think this different from bug 40125. I'm also affected by this bug. the
situation is simple:
nm tries to connect to wireless before it can see that there is a wired
connection!
In fact after 10 seconds the connection to wireless is dropped for the wired
one.
